About
Mission Statement
Building queer empowerment within and throughout our community through empathy, education, safe spaces, and equity.
Code of Conduct
Safety is our number one priority. Confidentiality is a requirement for participation in Itasca Pride activities: queer identities present a risk for the health and safety of some community members, and participation and information shared at Itasca Pride events is not to be disclosed outside of the group.
We value laughter and fun. We strive to promote a welcoming atmosphere where folks can share without fear of Judgement or threats.
Itasca Pride events are about creating relationships for a better future.
I will respect all people regardless of the appearance of who they are, even if we do not share the same opinion.
Being respectful of every person’s identity or perspectives, whether or not you agree or understand, is not optional. Perspectives that infringe on the safety and health of others do not have a place at Itasca Pride events.
As an ally to the queer community, I understand that my role is to uplift and listen respectfully to queer perspectives and to provide protection to my queer friends and neighbors.
This code of conduct can and will be changed to meet the needs of our community as seen fit.
